Habitat for Humanity of Orlando

For those that get involved with Habitat, there can be a sense of pride in knowing that they not only helped someone today, but transformed a family for generations.  For our homeowners, it is not just about a new house, it is about watching their children play in a yard of their own, seeing them excel in school, being able to get the whole family together on a Sunday afternoon, and maybe it’s as simple as finally feeling safe and being able to get a good night’s sleep.

Habitat for Humanity offers a hand up, not a hand out, to Orlando families caught in the never-ending cycle of poverty.  Through hundreds of hours of “sweat equity” and classroom education, homeowners work side-by-side with countless community leaders, corporate executives, church and synagogue members, associations, civic groups, students, and an army of community volunteers  that are dedicated to eliminating poverty housing and strengthening our neighborhoods.
