Community Service

Who may do community service at Habitat?

• College or high school students needing hours for school.

• Those with court-ordered hours we do not accept all charges call Shelley at 407-648-4567 ext. 401 before you register. The person doing the service must be the one to call.

What should I bring on my first day? 

• Your paperwork from the court/case worker/school
  

When can I do my hours/how do I start?

• You MUST schedule your service in advanceat our website.
  

• The ReStore's are open Monday through Saturday. A minimum of 4 hours is required per shift. The construction site is open Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 8:00am-2:00 pm.
  

• Please note: Saturdays are the busiest days and tend to fill up quickly. If you schedule a Saturday and do not show and do not call or email, you will not be able to schedule another Saturday, and you will be removed from any future Saturdays you had scheduled.

What should I wear?

• Comfortable, casual clothes that you can work in and don't mind getting dirty (jeans, athletic pants/shorts, etc.) Shorts must be at least mid-thigh in length.
  

• Closed-toe, closed-heel shoes such as athletic shoes or work boots. No ballet shoes, flip flops, high heels, etc.
