National Women Build Week brings together women from all walks of life to address the housing crisis facing millions of women and children across the globe. This year over 250 Central Florida women volunteered 1,500 hours on eight homes and raised more than $150,000 for our mission.
The Mother's Day timeframe was selected for its significance to many volunteers, as families with children make up a staggering number of those in need of adequate housing. More than 12 million children - one in six - live in poverty housing in the United States alone. To date, Women Build crews have built more than 2,100 Habitat homes nationwide.
Thank you to these local businesses for their support of Women Build Week!
During the month of April, you can donate to Habitat at each of these locations - they will display a Pink Hard Hat as a sign of your support!
