Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando is pleased to announce the appointment of two new board members, Bud Kirk with Rumberger, Kirk and Caldwell, and Paul Lartonoix with the University of Central Florida.
“Our Board of Directors is comprised of a dedicated team of community leaders committed to providing strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter for homeowners in Greater Orlando community,” said Catherine Steck McManus, President and CEO of Habitat Greater Orlando. “We are excited to channel Bud and Paul’s talent, expertise and energy into furthering our mission.”
Bud Kirk, a Rumberger Kirk & Caldwell founder, concentrates his practice in the areas of product liability, commercial litigation and professional liability, representing local and national clients in law, accounting, real estate development and communications. Kirk’s courtroom prowess has been recognized by The National Law Journal and Florida Trend magazine. He has also been named “Trial Lawyer of the Year” by the Central Florida Chapter of American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and as a “Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers in America. A member of the Product Liability Advisory Council, Defense Research Institute, Florida Defense Lawyers Association, American Board of Trial Advocates and the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, Kirk is also active in the community with the Four12 After School Outreach program for Howard Middle School and served on the board of directors for both WMFE and the University Club of Orlando. He continues to be active with both organizations.
Paul Lartonoix is the Assistant Vice President, Special Projects for the University of Central Florida, including UCF’s Downtown Presence. Prior to his current role, he was an Assistant Dean at the College of Arts and Humanities and directed the School of Visual Arts and Design (SVAD), leading Architecture, Digital Media, Art and Photography. He previously served as the Executive Director of the Orlando Repertory Theatre (The REP). Lartonoix also serves on the Board of Directors for United Arts of Central Florida, Orlando Repertory Theatre, and the UCF Theatre Professional Advisory Board.
